In June, courtesy of our series of Sunday chamber concerts, we will get to know another two incredibly promising young musicians. Remember their names, soon we will surely hear about them again! The violinist Marcelina Rucińska, currently a student of the Chopin Univeristy of Music in Warsaw in the class of prof. Wojciech Koprowski, won the third place prize at the 7th International Tadeusz Wroński Solo Violin Competition. She is also the laureate of several other solo and chamber music competitions in Poland and abroad, having performed in such places as the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Łańcut Castle, the National Philharmonic and the concert studio of The Polish Radio. The Łódź-native Michał Skibiński, a student of our Łódź University of Music in the class of prof. Łukasz Błaszczyk, has already amassed nearly 30 prizes and distinctions at various country-level and international violin competitions. He also tours as a chamber musician and a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Penderecki Youth Orchestra. He is the winner of several awards and the recipient of scholarships from such programmes as “Young Poland” or the American Morningside Music Bridge. He also performed at the World Expo 2025 in Japan.
The event is organized under the honorary patronage of the mayor of Stryków - Piotr Ślęzak
