Free trips with the Department of Sport and Tourism of the Łódź Voivodeship Chief Ministry

We believe that the participation in the ”Colours of Poland” concerts is a great opportunity for the discovery of the rich natural environment and history of the Łódź Voivodeship. For all those who want to discover all about the visited destinations, The Department of Sport and Tourism of the Łódź Voivodeship Chief Ministry has arranged free trips. During these excursions it will be possible to see, among others, the Spała Nature Park, the Blue Springs reserve in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, the renovated Saski Palace in Kutno or the old farm in Tworzyjanki

The Trip Schedule prepared by the organizer:

  • July 12th 2025 – Spała Nature Park and Inowłódz

The trip will lead us through the most captivating spots in the Spała Nature Park, combining its  natural qualities with historical and cultural attractions. The trip includes, among others, the tourist route ”Konewka Bunker” – the monumental railway bunker that dates back to the second World War – and the picturesque Spała, a former presidential residence, situated amongst old woods and untamed nature.

Another part of the tour will be the town of Inowłódz, where the participants will see a romanesque pearl of the Łódzkie region – the church of Saint Giles, situated on the bank of Pilica – and the renovated ruins of the Kazimierz Wielki castle, which on the day of the trip will be an unforgettable venue for the outdoor concert of the Łódź Philharmonic.

  • July 19th 2025 – Koluszki and the surroundings of the Rochna and Lisowice water reserves

Just under an hour of a drive from Łódź await places rich in history, greenery and local charm. The participants will begin the tour by visiting the Koluszki Museum – a place which showcases the history of the town, the development of its railways and the everyday lives of its inhabitants through the ages. After this, we will travel to the surrounding area of the Rochna and Lisowice water reserves, which are the main attraction of the tour. The participants will have the opportunity to admire the landscape and nature attractions: the dam in Rochna and the charming walkway in Lisowice, perfect for the tranquil observation of nature and relaxing outdoors. Additionally, we will visit the palace park in Lisowice which preserves its historical layout and we will stay at the Old Farm in Tworzyjanki in order to discover the local architecture and the history of begone landed estates.

  • July 26th 2025 – Kutno and Leszczynek

Kutno and its surroundings is a perfect place for a one day trip that combines relaxation, history and culture. The participants will take walks amongst palaces, parks and a suburban manor.

The itinerary includes a walk through the Spring of Nations Park – one of the oldest town parks in Poland, as well as resting in the enchanting Ochnia River Park – The Green Axis of the Kutno Town. The trip also includes a tour of the renovated Saski Palace in Kutno, which now serves as a museum and cultural centre, as well as a tour of the reconstructed baroque palace garden. The journey will end at Leszczynek and its charming court and park complex from the XIXth century, which will become the astonishing venue of an outdoor concert of the Łódź Philharmonic.

  • August 2nd 2025 – Tomaszowska Okrąglica and the beach in Smardzewice

During this trip the participants will discover the incredible natural attractions of Tomaszów Mazowiecki and its surrounding areas, combining a close proximity to nature, the local heritage and resting near a body of water.

The itinerary includes a walk at the Blue Springs Reserve, famous for its incredibly unique, light blue coloured water, and a tour of the Open-air River Pilica Museum which offers unique exhibits related to the history of the river and the region. The participants will also visit Groty Nagórzyckie – a former sandpit transformed into a subterranean tourist route offering an incredible journey into the world of geology and legends. At the end of the trip we will visit Smardzewice near the Sulejów Reservoir, where there will be an opportunity for relaxation, taking a walk near the banks of the reservoir and listening to a concert of the Łódź Philharmonic in incredible scenery.

  • August 9th 2025 – Bolimów Landscape Park and Lipce Reymontowskie

The trip will allow the participants to discover unique natural reserves and important places connected to the history and culture of the region.

The itinerary will include the reserves located in the area of the Bolimów Landscape Park: Rawka, Ruda Chlebacz and Kopanicha, where we can admire unique assemblages of heath, peat, swamp and reed vegetation – true treasures of the local flora. Consequently, the participants will arrive at Lipce Reymontowskie in order to discover the tradition and culture of the region in the scenery marked by authentic rural architecture.
